Took a photo walk around the Children's Pool area of La Jolla this evening. The man-made harbor was originally desigened and paid for by Ellen Browning Scripps as a gift to the children of San Diego, however in the late 1990's seals started using the beach for birthing, which in turn caused the water polution levels to rise to unsafe levels. Many lawsuits have been filed, and the California Supreme Court ruled that the beach must be cleaned up and restored to it's original purpose, which the City of San Diego's government has refused to do. �2012 Daniel Knighton/Pixel Perfect Images, all rights reserved.
